The renowned Islamic Cleric, Alhaji Sheikh Buhari Omo-Musa, will be the guest speaker at the maiden edition of Ramadan Special Lecture of Ilaji Muslim Community, scheduled to hold April 16, 2022 at Oloyo village, Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Penpushing reports that the Chairman of Ilaji Muslim Community, Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade, made this known in a statement which was made available to journalists on Monday in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital,adding that the event is slated for 2pm.
The Chairman explained that the lecture by the Ilorin-born preacher was going to be preceded with series of activities including Quranic competition, adding that the Otun Apesin of Ibadaland, Engr Dotun Sanusi would be the Chief host at the event.
Penpushing further reports that, Akinade stated that Ilaji Muslim Community is an offshoot of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort consisting of Muslims’ employees, Muslims in the host communities (Oloyo Village and Akanran and its environs), friends and well wishers of the hospitality outfit.
“The Hotel and Sports Resorts owned by Chief Dotun Sanusi, an Ibadan born investor, in a bid to give holistic hospitality services to its numerous muslim guests built a central mosque which was commissioned by Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy AbuBakr Agbotomokekere. The congregation in the mosque has since evolved which has led to the the establishment of its Asalatu arm”.
