The renowned broadcast journalist, Modele Sarafa-Yusuf on Wednesday declared her governorship ambition to rule Ogun State in the next political dispensation under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC)
Penpushing reports that, she made the declaration at the popular Adire International Market located in Asero of Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state, and was welcome by large crowd of women led by Iyaloja of Egbaland, Chief (Mrs) Oluwakemi Oloyede.
The aspirant while addressing the crowd, said she has all being a silent politician, known to be working behind the door, explaining that it is now appropriate time for her to publicly come out and actively participate in politics, adding that she is a politician with second address and a professional
Penpushing further reports that, Sarafa-Yusuf, who was a former media aid of Governor Dapo Abiodun, said she’s is interested to serve the state religiously, and called on voters to consider her for the exalted position, adding that she is of conviction that she would not regret her ambition to rule the state.
The aspirant appealed to womenfolk to genuinely support her course, pointing out that, women remained best manager in governance and administration, hence, need for electorate to give her needed support through their votes
“My vision is to be a transformative and inclusive leader and to make Ogun State of choice for people to live work and play because of the educational, economic and cultural opportunities, safety, livability, vibrancy and connectedness”, she emphasized
