Former Governor of Ogun State and veteran journalist, Chief Olusegun Osoba has affirmed and endorsed Penpushing media as credible media to fight fake news, adding that the organization has come to stay towards good journalism across the globe.
Penpushing reports that, Osoba made the declaration during a courtesy call on him by the editorial board of Penpushing media at his private resident located in the Government Reservation Area (GRA),Ibara, Abeokuta.
The world renowned journalist said he is proud to be associated with Penpushing media and praised the management and editorial body, for what he described as proactive administration style and standing firm in fighting spread of fake news to a standstill.
‘Penpushing is one platform that I have my professional respect for. In first case, unchecked and unauthenticated stories are not tolerated on Penpushing. Queries are raised when anybody push any story, as to the source, authenticity and veracity of the post being posted’, Osoba pointed out.
Penpushing further reports that, mentor to thousands of journalists called on other media organizations to emulate the genuine efforts of Penpushing media in bringing back lost glory of the profession, stressing need to jointly use the standard to fight bloggers who are embarrassing the profession
‘I want to recommend this to our professional practitioners as a way of living to our code of conduct, our professional standard, so that we can all jointly use this standard to fight those who create those bloggers who are embarrassing the profession of journalism with constant fake news they post regularly which is destructive and embarrassing to the profession of journalism’, Osoba emphasized
The former Governor also praised the management of Penpushing media for new innovation into online newspapers, with the introduction of live coverage of events, pointing out that another feat is recognition of Penpushing media by the United Nations Information Centre(UNIC).
Penpushing reports that, Osoba added that this recognition and partnership speaks volume of confidence and professional competence the world body has for the organizations, adding that he is optimistic that the organization has brighter future
The Chairman Editorial Board of Penpushing media, Funke Fadugba earlier in her speech said, the visit by the team was to rejoice with Osoba for a successful knee operation, and wished him adequate recovery

We are always proud of you as mentor to many of us, and pray that God will spare your life to do more’, Fadugba stated
The board chairman pointed out that Osoba is a comforter and shoulders that many people hold on to not to fall, and prayed for longetivity, and also called on him to help getting true leaders to navigate the country right in next political dispensation
Penpushing further reports that, Fadugba said the organisation has been robustly nurtured on the journalistic ideology of adding value to journalism worldwide, by ensuring credible sources of news around the world.
