A group, Irapada Grassroots Sustainable Mobilization (I-GSM) has declared support for the second term bid of Governor Seyi Makinde, who through the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, won election to govern the state

Penpushing reports that the coordinator of the movement, Comrade Oladipupo Omobosola while speaking with journalists at I-GSM 2022 Annual “Get together and Political Sensitisation” programme at Oyo Federal Constituency of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said that the group was set up for the sustenance of Makinde’s achievements.

The coordinator declared that the Governor, from the group assessment has met expectations of the people who voted him in 2019, urging people in the state to vote again for Makinde in 2023 for the sustainability of his good work.

Penpushing further reports that the Omobosola lamented that the state over the years has been hijacked and controlled by greedy people who manipulated the masses for their selfish interest and personal gain before Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) came in, calling on party members across the state particularly Oyo Federal Constituency not to be distracted by propaganda and campaign of calumny of the opposition.

The chairman of the event, Hon Akeem Salam in his welcome address urged Peoples Democratic Party( PDP members in the state to set aside their differences and come together so that Makinde’s administration can continue in 2023,.

Penpushing also reports that the representative of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Hon Abdul Fatai Adeyemi lauded the group, saying that those behind the program are youth with vision towards the betterment of the state
