A suspected thief has been found dead under an abandoned vehicle with registration number PKA 579 AA at a deserted mechanic workshop located at Ago- Egun community in Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State

Penpushing reports that, the Commander of So-Safe Corps, an Ogun State Security arm, Dr Soji Ganzallo who confirmed the discovery of the corpse, said other exhibits recovered at the scene, as well include a red colour hydraulic and scissor jacks, and some sets of spanners.

The So- Safe Corps boss explained that, the recovered items were taken to the Nigeria Police, Idiroko Divisional Headquarters for further investigation adding that preliminary investigation showed that the vehicle had being abandoned for sometime.

‘The Idiroko Division of the Corps reported that while on routine patrol a dead body suspected to be on a theft mission was found with an hydraulic jack and another jack beside him, and was suspected trying  to force himself out under a long time abandoned car marked PKA 579 AA at about 18:00hrs at Ago Egun located at Ipokia Local Government Area of the State’.

‘Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle has been allegedly abandoned and neglected at the scene of the incident which happened to be a deserted mechanic workshop for almost (two) 2 years, but all efforts of the owner of the land to get the mechanic to take the car away from the space proved abortive’, he added.

‘The body of the deceased and the items found at the scene(a red colour hydraulic and scissor jacks, and some sets of spanners) were taken to the Nigeria Police, Idiroko Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution’, Ganzallo stated.

Meanwhile, the Commander has called on his men and officers to be at alert, and security conscious at all time, adding that, they should also engage in daily routine intelligence gathering across the state.
