The management of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has eased out from office its Managing Director Adam Nuru who is enmeshed in paternity scandal, and on Tuesday appointment Yemisi Edun to take over leadership of the bank.
Penpushing reports that, Edun was in January appointed in acting capacity by the board after the immediate past controversial Managing Director Adam Nuru proceeded on a leave over allegation of misconduct.
The allegation against the bank chief executive led to the culmination of a petition signed by over 1,400 Nigerians, hence, the bank set up a high profile misconduct probe, and ordered the embattled Nuru to proceed on compulsory leave
Penpushing further reports that, the paternity scandal involved the former Chief Executive Officer of the Bank(Nuru), Moyo Thomas, a former employee of the bank and her late husband Tunde Thomas.
The alleged promiscuous woman, who had informed her husband of her decision to leave for the United State of America(USA)with the kids, was said to have called her husband( Thomas) on arrival that none of the two kids are his biological child.
Penpushing also reports that, the shocking news hit the 45-year-old man who had a stroke, and ailment reported to have subsequently led to his death, and has since being buried and the wife remained silence.
The authorities of the bank, on Tuesday, however, announced appointment of Edun as the Chief Executive Officer of the institution, and being the first female to attain the exalted position of the bank
Penpushing reports that, the board in a note to the Nigerian Exchange Limited, said the appointment received the blessing of the industry regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN)
