The  former police boss, who was represented by CSP Akeem Adedeji pointed out that insecurity is the biggest challenges currently confronting Ibadanland, adding that this has caused damages to the land which hindered meaningful developments in the town.

Penpushing further reports that, Oladipupo, said  some leaders in Ibadanland are only interested about their selfish interest without considering interest of others, saying that poverty and unemployment is one of the factors responsible for insecurity in the town.

The former police boss pointed out that, crimes and criminality seems to be in vogue because majority of Ibadan youths are jobless with no means of livelihood which makes them become thugs and touts for politicians.

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji in his remarks said that he is not happy concerning the problems, saying that there is need to involve all stakeholders at the grassroot to promote security in the land.

The chairman of the event, Chief Bayo Oyero in his remarks described the meeting as a good initiative, adding that it should turn to a yearly program and special committee should be set up for its continuation.

Penpushing further reports that the President General of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, (CCII), Chief Yemi Soladoye in his own speech explained that the impact of the council towards the development of Ibadanland is enormous, saying that there is need to find lasting solution to problem of unemployment  among youths in Ibadan metropolis.
