The controversial Pastor and General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has admitted that slip of tongue was responsible to the statement credited to him in saying that he acquired third private jet during coronavirus pandemic, and prayed that the pandemic does not end.

Penpushing reports that, the cleric apologized over the comment which attracted a widespread backlash and condemnation, alleging that an unnamed pastor was behind the mischievous spread of the error in a viral video.

The clergyman in a viral video to express his regret, explained that he was trying to explain something about coronavirus, and the statement slipped out of his mouth, explaining that no responsible pastor would pray that the pandemic should not end

“There is a video trending about me, it was posted by a pastor. It was a programme I had in Abuja. I was trying to explain something about COVID-19, when they showed me the video, I discovered it slipped out of my mouth. There is no pastor that will not pray for COVID-19 to end’, he explained.

“I was trying to explain what happened around COVID, how families were staying together, how families were united and how people made money during that process and that was what I was trying to buttress’.

“That of COVID, I regretted the way it came out. I was telling them my wife was so happy that I was at home, not that we were happy that we were dying. That is insensitive. When I saw the video, I went down on my knees and said holy spirit I cannot say this.”

Penpushing further reports that, Suleiman while preaching to congregation said the video was edited in some parts, and express disgust on why people were angry over his claim of having three private jets.

The flamboyant Pastor disclosed that  he has done other philanthropic gestures like building federal roads, building houses for widows, buying transformers, paying graduates salaries, but was  not commended for all these.

“If you are angry, I mentioned three jets, you go just die. That’s the truth. Then you are angry I mentioned jets, you never vex. If you cannot commend me then you cannot condemn me. God will only be angry with me if I take offering and tithe to buy a plane. But if I have avenues of God blessing me, what’s your business? Is your money missing?”, he declared
