The Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (ASSOPPMED) has partnered PulsePoint Medical Supply to improve access to quality healthcare products, and contribute meaningfully to the development of healthcare delivery across the federation.

Penpushing reports that the President of the association Olori Oluwatoyin Oyedele in her keynote address at the event held at Imperial Hotel’s Hall, Quarry Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital explained that the development represents the beginning of a strategic partnership that has the potential to strengthen the relationship between medical suppliers and medicine dealers.

The President emphasized that the importance of an efficient pharmaceutical and medical supply chain cannot be overemphasized, adding that members of the association occupy a very important position in the healthcare delivery system across communities, towns and cities.

Penpushing further reports that Oyedele pointed out that members of the association provide access to medicines and healthcare products to millions of people, stating that for them to effectively serve the public, they must have access to quality, affordable, genuine and readily available medical products.

‘This is why today’s partnership with PulsePoint Medical Supply is particularly significant. As we welcome PulsePoint Medical Supply as a trade partner, I would like to emphasize that our expectations are high, we expect this partnership to be founded on trust, transparency, reliability, quality and mutual respect’, she said.

‘We look forward to PulsePoint maintaining a consistent supply of genuine and quality-assured products, offering competitive prices, ensuring timely delivery and responding promptly to the needs of ASSOPPMED members. We also expect that the partnership will go beyond commercial transactions’, Oyedele added.

‘We would like to see opportunities for capacity building, product education, improved ordering systems, customer support and other initiatives that will add value to our members and strengthen the healthcare supply chain’.

Penpushing also reports that she, however, encouraged members to embrace this opportunity with an open mind and a strong sense of responsibility, noting that partnerships of this nature succeed when both parties fulfil their obligations.

‘As an Association, we must continue to promote professionalism, responsible medicine handling, ethical business practices and compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements’, Oyedele stressed.

‘We must also support our trade partners by conducting our businesses responsibly and maintaining the confidence that suppliers and the public have placed in us.Let us take advantage of this partnership to improve our businesses, strengthen our services and, most importantly, contribute to better healthcare outcomes for our customers’.

‘While we celebrate this partnership, let me state clearly that quality and patient safety must remain at the centre of everything we do. The products that eventually reach the patient must be genuine, properly stored and handled, and sourced through appropriate channels’.

‘As medicine dealers, we have a responsibility that goes beyond making profit. Every product we handle has the potential to affect a person’s health and wellbeing. Therefore, ASSOPPMED will continue to encourage its members to uphold the highest possible standards of professionalism and responsible practice’, she added.

‘ I believe today’s event should be regarded as the beginning of a journey rather than the conclusion of one. I envision a partnership where PulsePoint Medical Supply and ASSOPPMED continuously engage, identify challenges and develop practical solutions’.

‘I hope that an efficient distribution network where our members can access needed products conveniently and at competitive prices with stronger collaboration that will benefit not only our members and PulsePoint, but also the communities and patients whom we ultimately serve. And I believe that with commitment from both sides, this vision is achievable’.

Penpushing reports that Oyedele commended the management of PulsePoint Medical Supply for taking this important step towards establishing a closer relationship with the association.

‘I commend your vision and commitment to building a reliable medical supply network, and I assure you of the cooperation of ASSOPPMED within the framework of our shared objectives. To our members, I encourage you to make the best use of this opportunity. Let us build a partnership based on trust, value, reliability and mutual growth’.

‘As we officially launch this trade partnership today, may it bring prosperity to both organizations, strengthen the healthcare supply chain and, above all, contribute to improved access to quality healthcare products for our customers’, Oyedele emphasized
